Ogun 2027: Bolaji Adeniji Mobilises Ota Residents For Yayi, Tinubu

ABEOKUTA – The Patron of Ota Progressive Forum, Olootu Bolaji Adeniji, has rallied hundreds of residents of Ota in support of the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, and the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The mobilisation, which took place on Monday, commenced at the old Olota Palace with a colourful procession through Okeide and Ahmadiya areas of the town before terminating at Zion Methodist School, venue of a special meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ota Ward 2.

The procession, accompanied by traditional drummers and enthusiastic youths, attracted residents who lined the streets with banners and joined in songs endorsing YAYI, President Tinubu and other candidates of the APC.

Addressing party members and supporters at the meeting, Adeniji said the initiative was designed primarily to mobilise the people of Ota for the 2027 elections and galvanise grassroots support for YAYI’s bid to become the next governor of Ogun State, as well as President Tinubu’s re-election.

He stressed that Ota had a critical role to play in securing an overwhelming victory for the APC in Ogun State, urging party stakeholders, community leaders and residents to unite behind the party’s candidates.

“Ota has a critical role to play in ensuring that the APC records an overwhelming victory in the state. I urge party stakeholders, community leaders and residents to work together towards delivering an unprecedented electoral performance for YAYI as our next governor,” he said.

Adeniji, who is also the Convener of Ogun West Initiative, described YAYI as an accomplished politician whose legislative career had demonstrated his capacity to initiate interventions capable of impacting positively on the lives of the people and the development of communities.

According to him, YAYI’s record in the National Assembly provides an indication of what he could achieve if entrusted with the executive responsibilities of governing Ogun State.

“YAYI’s footprints can be seen across various sectors, including education, roads, healthcare, markets, empowerment programmes and support for artisans. These efforts have positively impacted the lives of many residents.

“He has done so much as a senator, and he will do much more when he becomes governor of Ogun State. I therefore urge our people to consider his record and achievements when making their electoral choices,” Adeniji said.

He also called on Ota residents and APC supporters to back President Tinubu’s second-term bid, saying the administration had demonstrated the capacity to steer the affairs of the country and should be given another mandate to consolidate its ongoing reforms.

Adeniji further appealed to APC members and stakeholders to close ranks, stressing that unity, internal cohesion and sustained grassroots mobilisation would be critical to the party’s success in the 2027 elections.

“I want us all to close ranks and ensure that Ota delivers massive votes for Yayi, President Tinubu and other APC candidates,” he added.
