Ogun Federal Legislator, GNI Rekindles Constituents’ Hope With Palliatives, Cash For Easter, Ramadan Celebrations

ABEOKUTA – Member representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon federal constituency in the National Assembly, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka – GNI, has extended a lifeline of hope to his constituents with generous donations of food palliatives and cash in observance of the Ramadan fast and Easter festivities.

While briefing journalists in his home country, Imeko on Monday, Isiaka said the gesture was aimed at cushioning the hardships being experienced by his people, especially during the holy month of Ramadan and Easter celebration.

The lawmaker added that it is in keeping with the teachings of his faith, Islam, to be charitable and selfless, especially in the Holy Month of Ramadan.

He noted that the donations targeted the most vulnerable members of the constituency, including the widows, elderly, and the needy.

According to the Chairman, House Committee on Student Loans, Scholarships and Higher Education Financing, the palliatives, which included essential items such as Rice, Garri, Semovita, cooking ingredients, Beverages and other non-perishables, were meticulously distributed to individuals, groups, and religious associations across the 21 wards within the constituency.

He said that the distribution of the palliatives and cash support was monitored by religious leaders and party leaders in each ward of the constituency.

“Of course, we understand that for many of our people, the convergence of these blessed occasion of Easter and Ramadan can worsen financial pressures amid rising living costs.”

“As their representative, it is my solemn duty to not only advocate for their needs but to take tangible action that directly improves their lives during this period.”

“We ensured that the distribution was fair and equitable, reaching every corner of our constituency. Our party leaders in each ward played a crucial role in ensuring that the palliatives and cash support reached the intended beneficiaries.”

While seizing the opportunity to thank his constituents for their unflinching support, GNI reassured them that their challenges are not lost on him, the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He expressed confidence that with perseverance and faith, better days would return to the Country.
