Paris 2024 Olympic Games: Segun Odegbami To Host NOC Secretary-General, AFN President On Saturday
ABEOKUTA – As the World Olympic Games 2024 approaches, with barely two weeks left to the start of the Paris Olympic Games billed to run from July 26 to August 11, 2024, one of Nigeria’s most authoritative figures in sports journalism and sportsmanship, Dr. Segun Odegbami is set to host two major leaders of the Nigeria’s contingent to the Olympics on his popular radio show tagged: 90 Minutes with Mathematical7 this Saturday, July 13, 2024.
A statement released from the media and publicity desk of the veteran sportsman and seasoned broadcast journalist has it that Dr. Olusegun Odegbami will host the Secretary General of the Nigerian Olympic Committee, Mr. Tunde Popoola and the President of the Athletic Federation of Nigeria, Chief Tonobok Okowa on the popular radio sports show.
The statement further reveals that the 2024 Olympic Games “promises to be a good season of harvest for Nigerian sports. The atmosphere is pregnant with positivity and realistic expectations. Yet, it will not be a stroll in the park.”
Dr. Odegbami noted that “There are 206 participating countries in any number of 32 different sports, hunting for the 329 medals at stake, stressed that the Nigerian athletes are set to seek medals.”
He also noted that, “At the same time, in the next day or two, the world shall hear the judgment of the Court of Sports Arbitration, CAS, in a matter of dope test violations brought against Nigeria.”
Mathematical Segun Odegbami therefore affirmed that “It is time to look critically at the team that includes some truly exciting athletes, some of the current best in the world.”
