Shelve Your Planned Protests For Unity, Dialogue, GNI Urges Youths

ABEOKUTA – Barely 48 hours to the August 1 nationwide protest, Chairman of the House Committee on Student Loans, Scholarships and Higher Education Financing, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka – GNI has called on Nigerian youths to shelve their planned protests in the interest of peace and nation-building.

The member representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency acknowledged the widespread hardship currently affecting many Nigerians, particularly the youth.

Despite recognizing the strong urge for the Youths to protest, Isiaka advocated for dialogue and patience as more effective means of effecting long-lasting change

Isiaka cautioned against allowing the current struggles to be exploited by those seeking to sow division among the populace.

He reminded the youth that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is still in its early stages, noting that although current policies may appear challenging, they are intended to guide the nation toward long-term stability and growth.

GNI further reiterated that the government is implementing various initiatives to improve the current situation, which will have a lasting impact on the economy and the future of the youth, such as the student loan scheme.

The APC Chieftain implored the youth to pause their protests, expressing confidence that the Nigeria of their dreams is within reach.

He said “The planned protest for August 1st speaks volumes about the pain coursing through our nation. I hear you. I see you. Your frustration is valid, and your desire for change is just.

“While the urge to protest is strong,, I urge you to consider dialogue, patience, and collective action instead.”

“The administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) is still in its early days. Yes, the policies being implemented may feel burdensome now, but they are designed to steer our nation toward long-term stability and growth. I assure you that the government is implementing various initiatives to improve the current situation, which will have a lasting impact on the economy and the future of our youth, such as the student loan scheme.”

“Real change is a marathon, requiring endurance and belief in a brighter future. Your planned protest has already rung alarm bells in the corridors of power. Now, let’s focus on building the Nigeria we envision.”

“We must not allow our struggles to be exploited by those who seek to divide us further. This Nigeria belongs to us all—not just politicians or elites.”

“I implore you to pause the protest. The Nigeria of our dreams is within reach, but we can only achieve it together, united rather than divided.”

“The future depends on us. Let’s not let it down!” He stated.
