ABEOKUTA — Hundreds of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday thronged the streets of Ifo as the YAYI ADJ NATION Support Group staged a mega awareness rally to mobilise grassroots support for the party and its candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
The rally, held in Ifo Constituency I, witnessed a colourful procession through major streets of the metropolis, with party faithful and members of the support group displaying solidarity with the APC and its candidates.
The mobilisation was organised in support of the APC governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, and the party’s candidate for the Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, popularly known as ADJ.
Speaking at the event, Adeleye thanked the supporters for the massive turnout and commended Senator Adeola for what she described as his development-oriented vision for Ogun State.
She urged APC supporters to remain united and mobilise support for the party’s candidates at all levels, from the presidency and National Assembly to the Ogun State House of Assembly.
Also speaking, former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo, reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC, saying his commitment to the party remained unwavering.
