Olorode Emerges APC Chairmanship Candidate For Imeko-Afon

ABEOKUTA – It was jubilation galore following the endorsement of Hon. Theophilus Olorode as the Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Imeko-Afon Local Government ahead of the November 16 council polls in Ogun state.

The endorsement, which was announced after a meeting of APC leaders and stakeholders in the LG, also saw the party endorsed 10 Councillorship candidates across the various wards.

Speaking at the event held at the APC Secretariat in Imeko, the APC Chairman, Hon. Segun Olaotan in company of other party leaders highlighted Olorode’s “capacity, honesty, integrity and credibility” as key factors that informed the party’s decision to back him for the Chairmanship position.

He said, “The leadership of APC in Imeko have today reached a consensus in favour of Hon. Olorode as the Chairmanship candidate of our party in the forthcoming LG election.”

“We have unanimously endorsed Olorode because he is a man of the people. This is a man who has consistently demonstrated that he has the best interests of the people of Imeko-Afon at heart. He is a community man to the core.

“We are very confident that with him as Chairman, the good people of this local government will experience progressive and transformative governance again.” The party Chairman added.

Other notable leaders at the meeting included Former APC Chairman, Imeko-Afon, Alh. Gausu Bello, Alh. Olusoji Taiwo, Ward Chairmen and other party leaders.
