ABEOKUTA – Amalgamation of Commercial Motorcycle Riders and Owners Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), Ogun state chapter has donated campaign vehicles for the second term victory of Governor Dapo Abiodun and the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Chairman of the Association, Kayode Amos Showunmi while handing over the five Toyota Sienna vehicles to the senatorial chairmen of the association at the ACOMORAN secretariat in Abeokuta on Monday vowed that the association would run a massive campaign to ensure the victory of Governor Abiodun, Asiwaju Tinubu and other APC candidates in the state for the 2023 general elections.
According to Showunmi, the procurement of the vehicles was to ease movement of members during the campaign period across the 20 local governments of the state.
He registered the ACOMORAN’s loyalty to Governor Abiodun even as he warned members of the association against anti-party activities in the state.
His words “Dapo Abiodun is our own priority. We will expel anyone doing anti-party activities.
“We have donated these vehicles for the campaign of Dapo Abiodun, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates in the state. Our people are complaining about mobility, hence, the donation. The vehicles will ease movement from one senatorial district to the other during the campaign”.
The choice of Abiodun, the Chairman disclosed, was informed by the governor’s giant strides in the state and the several benefits the association has benefited from the administration.
Showunmi stated that ACOMORAN is thriving under the current administration, unlike previous administration, adding that the only way the association could compensate the governor is to ensure his re-election.
“We must do everything possible to re-elect Governor Dapo Abiodun. We want the governor to know that his success is our own concern and we want him to know that we mean this business. By next year, he will be sworn in as Ogun state governor for the second term in office”.
