ABEOKUTA – The Director in charge of the State’s Bureau of Electrical & Engineering Services (BEES), Engr. Sunday Adelakun has lost her mother, Mrs Bernice Modupeola Adelakun, to the cold hands of death on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the ripped age of 105.
The Director who hailed from Igan Alade area of Yewa and the son of the late Prominent Anglican priest explained that mama lived fulfillingly in his house for over 30 years and was full of life when the death came calling.
Engr. Adelakun further stressed that he was planning big ahead of Mama’s 110th year’s birthday when death snatched her and added that the burial arrangements would be announced in due course.
According to him, “i was planning BIG for your 110th year birthday, but you left uninformed at age 105. Goodbye, my sweet and beloved mum, Mrs Bernice Modupeola Adelakun. I will miss you even more than anyone can imagine. No regret having you as my mother, mama Sunday, rest on,” Engr Adelakun wrote.
Late Mrs Bernice Modupeola Adelakun was survived by children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren but calling on friends and sympathisers to commiserate with them for now.
