The lecture, organized by the Isiaka family, is scheduled to hold on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at the Tijani Isiaka Resource Centre, Imeko.
Ogundipe, a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, will deliver the keynote address, while Ashiru will chair the occasion. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, will attend as the Special Guest of Honour.
The lecture, with the theme, “Education as a Tool to Fight Poverty: The Case of Africa’s Suburban Communities,” will examine the role of education in tackling poverty and promoting development in communities outside major urban centres.
The event commemorates 50 years since the death of Tijani Isiaka, popularly known as T. Ade, who died on November 1, 1976. He served as Executive Director of the Western Nigeria Development Corporation, now Odu’a Investment Company Limited.
The memorial lecture will bring together invited guests from public service, academia, business and the community to reflect on the lecture’s theme and honour the memory of the late patriarch of the Isiaka Family.
