ABEOKUTA – A tragic accident has claimed the life of a woman who recently returned from the United Kingdom while travelling to attend a wedding in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The fatal crash occurred along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway when the vehicle she was in rammed into a moving truck.
According to authorities, the victim was travelling in a Toyota Camry with two others when the collision happened around Monday evening. The impact led to her death, while the two other passengers sustained injuries.
Officials attributed the crash to excessive speed, noting that the victims were on their way from Lagos to Abeokuta after arriving from the UK for a wedding ceremony.
The deceased has been deposited in a morgue, while the injured are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals.
