“I’ll Sustain Peaceful Transition in Ogun” — Senator Yayi

ABEOKUTA – Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Ogun West), the All Progressives Congress, APC consensus candidate for the governorship race in Ogun State in 2027 has promised to sustain the tradition of peaceful and consensual transition of administrations in Ogun State as is being established by the incumbent governor of the State, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

In his acceptance speech after he was yet again unveiled and affirmed at the APC Ogun Central Senatorial District Stakeholders and Strategic Meeting by the governor, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations thanked the governor for his laudable contributions to the socio economic and political development of Ogun State adding that when elected as the Governor, he will not only sustain and build upon the achievements but further ensure rancor free political interaction in Ogun State.

“ I am very conscious of the the honour done to me with my historic emergence as the consensus candidate of the ruling party in our dear state. I will not take it for granted and will work assiduously to sustain it in the year ahead” he stated.

The senator noted that his first endorsement as the consensus candidate occurred here in Ogun Central by all APC leaders and caucus in Ogun State stressing that it is gratifying that another affirmation took place here in the district of his maternal origin.

The senator further pledged to embark on a thank you tour of all the 74 wards of Ogun Central after the party’s primary.

Earlier on, the governor recounted the statewide endorsement of Senator Adeola as the consensus candidate of APC and his subsequent unveiling in Ogun East and West adding that Ogun Central is taking its turn in affirming the consensus candidate of the party towards victory of the party at all levels.

The governor also used the occasion to present the consensus senatorial candidate for Ogun Central in the person of the incumbent, Senator Shuiab Afolabi Salisu, who he described as a loyal and hardworking party man.

Prince Abiodun called on all party faithful and the indigenes of Ogun state to massively support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support to Ogun State and his reformist agenda adding that his policies and achievements of his administration in the last 7 years has made Ogun State the fastest growing economy among the states in Nigeria.

Dignitaries at the event include Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, deputy Governor of the state, Prince Segun Adesegun, former deputy governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Daisi Elemide, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Olumide Osoba, Hon. Kunle Isiaka, House of Representatives Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, Rt. Hon. Titi Oseni-Shodunke, former Speaker of State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun, former Speaker of State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Akeem Amosun, Federal Commissioner, Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission and Hon. Bukola Olopade, the Director General of National Sports Commission.
