MC Dapreacher To Set Abeokuta Ablaze August 30 With ‘Funny But True’ Laffta Chapter
ABEOKUTA – Popular Abeokuta-based master of ceremonies and On-Air Personality, MC Dapreacher, is set to take the entertainment scene in Ogun State by storm with the fourth edition of his comedy show, “Funny But True” Laffta Chapter, scheduled to hold on August 30, 2026.
The highly anticipated comedy event, which has steadily grown into one of Abeokuta’s notable comedy platforms over the past four years, is expected to bring together leading comedians, entertainers and fun lovers for an evening of laughter and entertainment.
MC Dapreacher, a versatile compère and broadcaster, said the 2026 edition would be bigger, more engaging and captivating, promising patrons an unforgettable experience.
According to him, the show will feature some of the most exciting comedy talents within and outside Abeokuta, with the comedians expected to deliver what he described as a “proper dose of laugh therapy.”
Among the comedians billed to perform are Dr. Bengu, Bash, Prolific Heptcha, Baba D Baba, Creative Toby, Open Teeth, Alagba, Dextop King, MC Smily, General Olak, Deji Comedian and the Abeokuta Kings of Comedy.
Adding musical colour to the event, rave DJs DJ Yomzy and DJ Spaze, alongside Toby Fere and Sammy Water, are expected to thrill the audience with popular hits.
The show will also feature special appearances by melody singer Alayo Melody Singer and highlife musician Boye Best, further adding to the entertainment package.
With a blend of stand-up comedy, music and live entertainment, the organisers said the fourth edition of “Funny But True” Laffta Chapter is designed to offer residents and visitors to Abeokuta an evening of quality entertainment and memorable moments.
