APC Professional Council Strengthens Grassroots Support For Yayi, Donates N1million Cash Grants To Party Members, CDAs In Ogun

ABEOKUTA — The Director-General of the APC Professional Council in Ogun State and Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Finance, Dr. Bayo Adenekan, has intensified grassroots mobilisation for the party and its candidates ahead of the 2027 elections with a cash grant to members of Ward 4 in Abeokuta South Local Government Area.

Adenekan, during an engagement with members of the party in Saje community on Sunday, distributed N10,000 each to 50 beneficiaries as part of efforts to provide immediate financial support to party members and strengthen the party’s presence at the ward level.

The initiative, according to him, was part of a broader grassroots intervention designed to complement ongoing government programmes and deepen engagement between the party and the electorate.

This gesture, followed the earlier disbursement of N500,000 grants to Community Development Associations (CDAs) to support micro-projects under government incentive programmes in their respective communities.

Adenekan said the combination of structured support for community development projects and direct assistance to individuals was aimed at addressing both community-level needs and immediate household challenges.

He said the initiative was part of the APC Professional Council’s ongoing mobilisation drive across Abeokuta South, particularly Ward 4, in support of the party’s candidates, including the APC governorship candidate, Senator Adeola Olamilekan Yayi, and other candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

He said the intervention demonstrates the Council’s commitment to translating its professional and political engagement into tangible benefits for residents at the grassroots.

He added that the mobilisation would continue across the local government, with further engagements and empowerment initiatives expected in the coming months.
