ABEOKUTA – Pensioners in Ogun state have appealed to the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to consider them in the Christmas bonuses given to civil servants in the state.
Recall that, Ogun State government on Friday announced bumper package for all civil servants in the state to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
However, the State Secretary of the Nigeria union of Pensioners, Comrade Bola Lawal, in a Christmas message to governor Abiodun on behalf of all pensioners appreciated the governor for early payment of December pension to members before the Christmas celebration and also the extension of the N10,000 naira palliative to them to cushion the effect of petrol subsidy.
According to him, payment of the Christmas bonus, would help members to be financially buoyant beyond the yuletide period.
