GNI Congratulates Rep-Elect Elegbeji Hails Gov. Abiodun On Election Victory

ABEOKUTA – The Chairman, House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development and member representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka — GNI, has congratulated Dr. Adesola Elegbeji on her victory in the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency by-election held on Saturday.
Isiaka also extended warm commendation to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, describing the outcome of the poll as a statement victory that affirms the people’s endorsement of his developmental strides across the state.
He noted that the result in Remoland is a direct reflection of the Governor’s performance and his growing acceptance among the people.
According to him, the by-election triumph, coming side by side with the official approval of the Gateway International Airport for scheduled commercial operations by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), represents a defining moment in the life of the state.
He said the Governor has, within one week, delivered both a political and infrastructural milestone that will deepen the confidence of citizens and project Ogun’s rising profile on the national stage.
“What we have witnessed is more than an electoral contest. It is a referendum on purposeful governance. The people have spoken clearly in favour of continuity, progress, and leadership that delivers results. The approval of the Gateway International Airport further crowns this moment, positioning our state for greater commerce, investment, and global connectivity. These are landmark gains under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun.” he stated.
While celebrating the Governor, GNI equally congratulated Dr. Adesola Elegbeji, describing her emergence as a continuation of the noble legacy of the late Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga.
He expressed confidence that the Rep-elect would justify the people’s mandate with quality representation.
He said “Dr. Elegbeji comes into this mandate with the goodwill of the people and the strength of the party behind her. Her deep roots in the community and her proven compassion assure us that she will serve with diligence and purpose.”
Isiaka futher pledged his support to work with the new lawmaker alongside other Ogun State legislators in the National Assembly, while commending the APC leadership and faithful across the state for their steadfast commitment to the party’s success.
