Gov. Abiodun’s Aide Donates 3KVA Generating Set To Ogun SWAN

ABEOKUTA – The Senior Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor on Youth Development, Hon. Tunde Delu has donated a 3KVA generator to the Ogun State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) to support the smooth running of activities at its secretariat.
Hon. Delu presented the generator on Wednesday during an engagement with the association at the SWAN Secretariat, MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Kuto, Abeokuta.
The donation took place while the SSA paid a working visiting to the SWAN Secretariat to solicit the support of the association for his upcoming boxing event in November.
Applauding the gesture, the SWAN Chairman, Comrade Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji, expressed appreciation to Hon. Delu, describing it as a timely intervention that would help improve the day-to-day operations of the association.
Comrade Ogunsiji noted that the previous generator had served the association for more than a decade, having been inherited from the administration led by former SWAN chairman, Alhaji Hakeem Akintunde, who himself inherited it from the Biodun Alabi-led executive.
“We sincerely appreciate Hon. Tunde Delu for this gesture. The generator we have been using was inherited from the administration of Alhaji Hakeem Akintunde, which also inherited it from the Biodun Alabi-led executive. This means that the generator has served the association for more than a decade. So, this donation has come at the right time, and we are grateful to Hon. Delu for coming to our aid”.
He added that the new 3.0 KVA generator would provide much-needed support for the association’s activities and improve the working environment at the secretariat.
The SWAN chairman also commended Hon. Delu for his interest in youth and sports development, noting that supporting sports journalists was another way of strengthening the sports ecosystem in Ogun State.
