SWAN Congratulates Remo Stars’ Coach, Ogunmodede Over Appointment As Super Eagles Assistant Coach
ABEOKUTA – Ogun State Chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), has congratulated the Chairman of Remo Stars, Otunba Kunle Soname over the appointment of Daniel Ogunmodede as the Assistant Coach of Super Eagles ahead of 2025 Nations Cup qualifiers.
The Nigeria Football Federation had through the office of the General Secretary sent an invitation letter to Coach Daniel Ogunmodede of Remo Stars to assist the Super Eagles interim Head Coach, Augustine Eguavoen in the forthcoming double header Nations Cup qualifiers in Nigeria and Kigali.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will on Saturday, 7th September, take on Benin Republic at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, and travel to Kigali to battle Rwanda three days later.
SWAN, in a statement by its Chairman, Comrade Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji, described the invitation extended to Coach Ogunmodede as well deserving considering his team’s performance in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL last season.
Ogunsiji noted that Ogunmodede’s appointment as an assistant coach will also add value to Remo Stars campaign in the new NPFL season.
“On behalf of SWAN in Ogun State, I want to congratulate the management of Remo Stars especially the Chairman of the club, Otunba Kunle Soname on the appointment of Daniel Ogunmodede to Super Eagles as an Assistant coach.
