SWAN Felicitates Hon. Wasiu Ayodele Over Appointment As Chairman, House Committee On Sports
ABEOKUTA – The Ogun State chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, (SWAN) has congratulated Hon. Wasiu Ayodele Igbalaye on his appointment as the Chairman, House Committee on Youths and Sports by the Ogun State House of Assembly.
In a statement jointly signed the Chairman of the Association, Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji and the Secretary, Olusegun Folarin, said the appointment as Chairman, House Committee on Youths and Sports is well deserved considering his desires to impact on youths in the state.
The Association implores Hon. Wasiu Ayodele Igbalaye to use his office to initiate bills and motions that will bring the desired change to the state, especially to the sports sector.
The association says there is need for the chairman to pursue the implementation of the Sports Trust Bill and Sports Commission passed by the 9th Assembly and currently before the executive for the overall development of sports in the state.
The Association promises to work with the Chairman, House Committee on Youths and Sports towards achieving the set goals.
