Ode Lemo Anglican Grammar School Old Students Write Open Letter To Senator Yayi

ABEOKUTA – The Old Students’ Association of St. John’s Anglican Grammar School, Ode-Lemo in Sagamu local government area of Ogun State have appealed to the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial district, Adeola Olamilekan Yayi to rescue the school from trespassing and vandalism of the property.

The Old Students in an open letter signed by its Chairman, Project Sub-committee, Mr. Samsideen Osilewe and Secretary, Mr. Sunday Ayodeji said the school is in dire need of a gated perimeter fence to ensure the safety and security of the students, teachers, and staff.

According to the Old Students, the absence of a secured fenced has exposed the school to various risks, including trespassing, vandalism, and potential harm to the students.

They claimed that the community where the school is situated is predominantly made up of fans who avidly follow Senator Yayi’s good works on social media.

The Old Students posited that the project will provide a safe environment for learning, enhance the school’s reputation, and showcase Senator Yayi’s leadership and vision.

“We, the Old Students’ Association of St. John’s Anglican Grammar School, Ode-Lemo, in Sagamu Local Government, write to express our profound appreciation for your outstanding contributions to the development of Ogun State.

“Your initiatives in road construction, scholarship provision, and empowerment of vulnerable groups have brought hope and relief to many, and your efforts have not gone unnoticed.

“As sons and daughters of Ogun State, we are proud of your achievements and humbly request your support for our alma mater. Our school, though located in a different senatorial district from yours, but still in Ogun State, is in dire need of a gated perimeter fence. This project is crucial for the safety and security of our students, teachers, and staff.

“The absence of a secure fence has exposed our school to various risks, including trespassing, vandalism, and potential harm to our students.

“The community where this school is situated is predominantly made up of your fans who avidly follow your good works on social media.

“Furthermore, this project will provide a safe environment for learning, enhance our school’s reputation, and showcase your leadership and vision. It will undoubtedly earn you the appreciation and support of the community, which will be invaluable in your future endeavours.

“We kindly request that you consider our request and support the construction of a gated perimeter fence for our beloved alma mater. We are confident that your involvement will bring this project to fruition and benefit generations of students to come.”
