In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Ambassador Babatunde Adeyemo Media Office in Abeokuta, Adeyemo said Osoba’s remarkable contributions to journalism, governance and grassroots development have left an indelible mark on Ogun State and Nigeria.

The renowned real estate entrepreneur and veteran broadcast journalist praised the ex – governor for his unwavering commitment to public service, noting that his leadership has remained a reference point in politics, traditional institutions and national development.

According to Adeyemo, Osoba’s enduring impact is evident in the success of Pelican Valley’s flagship developments, particularly its emerging Smart City project along the Masa-Kobape corridor in Abeokuta.

He disclosed that the rural electrification initiative undertaken during Osoba’s administration over two decades ago played a decisive role in the company’s decision to establish its technology-driven and eco-friendly real estate projects in the area.

“We will continue to appreciate you for your enduring legacies in grassroots development across Ogun State during your tenure as governor. Our emerging Smart City on the Masa-Kobape corridor is a direct beneficiary of your rural electrification project, which was one of the major attractions that influenced our decision to site these developments there,” Adeyemo said.

The Pelican Valley boss revealed that the longest avenue within the estate was named after Osoba in recognition of his contribution to extending a 35KVA electricity line to Kobape, a development he described as transformative for the community.

“It is worth recalling that your intervention over two decades ago, the benefits of which we are enjoying today, informed our decision to name the longest avenue in our estate after this journalism icon, administrator and elder statesman for his evergreen contribution to the rural electrification project in Kobape.

Adeyemo also expressed confidence that Osoba would continue to play a pivotal role in shaping Ogun State’s political future as the country prepares for another electoral cycle.

“As the nation moves closer to another opportunity to elect new leaders, we are confident that, as a progressive-minded politician and respected elder statesman, you will once again deploy your immense wealth of wisdom, experience, courage and foresight to guide and pilot the people of Ogun State in particular, the Southwestern part and also the nation in making the right choices on the next set of leaders who will sustain the progressive trajectory of the Nigerian Nation.

“As one of the beneficiaries of your exemplary leadership and rural development initiatives, we join countless admirers in celebrating your life and praying for many more years of good health, peace, vitality and prosperity.
